Step 1: Export Patient Data​

  1. Export patient demographic reports from the EMR systems. Currently Allscripts, ECW, Centricity and PracticeMate files are supported by Patient Care Link.

  2. ECW - 41.01 Patient Demographic Report. Select Patient Basic Information, Contact Information, Phone/Email Information, Guarantor Information sections Once exported to Excel, save it as a CSV file using Microsoft Excel.

  3. Files exported from any of the above systems, have to be in Excel or CSV formats.

  1. Click on patient tab from the "Menu" Dropdown.

  2. Click on the "Import Patients" button.

  3. Select the Practice from the dropdown

  4. And select the patient file for importing the patient's data

  5. Once clicked on the Import (in the file selection window) button, the system will start uploading and processing the file. It may take few minutes based on the size of the file.

  6. Once the process is complete, the user who started the import will receive an email about the import status.

  7. Previous imports can be viewed by clicking on the View Previous Imports options from Options dropdown.
